Why does my water taste heavily of minerals?

After installing a new system or replacement filters your water may taste heavily of minerals for 2-3 weeks. This is normal as it takes time for the filters to become conditioned to the source water. Whenever an off-taste is noticed, flush the system for seven (7) minutes.
